This sculpture uses fragments of eggshells in order to communicate feelings of timidity, like you’re always walking on egg shells. Also included in this piece is black card-stock folded to provide structure and to prevent the eggshells from collapsing into one another. I painted the whole piece black in order to create unity and a somber feeling. I was very timid as a kid and this created feelings of shame and dread when it came to social interactions, this piece replicates this experience.
